Chanukah Toy Drive The Central Queens Y is sponsoring this for foster children and adults with disabilities through Ohel Children’s Home and Family Services, Bais Ezra, and Lifetime Care Foundation. They’re seeking donations of new gifts along the lines of PSP games, toys, board games, video games, watches, English Judaica items and books, cosmetics, electronics, cassettes, CDs, sports equipment, and pretty much anything with a price tag still on it. Drop off is at 67-09 108th Street, attn: Monique. 718.368.5011.

Year-Round Food Drive Forest Hills Jewish Center runs this, whereby you can bring your donations of Kosher, non-perishable food to the Center Office (please, no glass containers). Donations benefit City Harvest.

Operation Support Our Troops Ongoing Event, ends 2/29/2008. Again, Forest Hills Jewish Center collects individual-sized packages of toiletries and new (or gently used) CDs, DVDs, electronic games, and video games for distribution to overseas troops.
