So Much Culture, So Little Time

Aaron Copland School of Music’s Web site is really together now. If you check in on a regular basis, you’ll see a listing of their upcoming concerts that is really impressive. And did I mention that it’s a short car or bus ride away from Forest Hills?

I’m highlighting one concert now because it’s tomorrow night and because JP Knijff is such a talented and charismatic teacher. To walk into the LeFraK auditorium and stand before its organ is a near-religious experience. My son had the good fortune of being allowed to play on it once, something neither of us will soon forget.

Tuesday, December 4, 7:30 pm: Organ Students Recital: Students of organist-in-residence Jan-Piet Knijff playing on the Maynard-Walker Memorial Organ; LeFrak Concert Hall.
