Not Such a Happy New Year

At just after midnight, right after the ball dropped, the north side of Forest Hills was filled with the sounds of sirens, in response to a fire that broke out at 68-64 Yellowstone Boulevard, aka The Andrew Jackson. The fire seems to have licked its way through a portion of the top three floors of the left-hand side (observer’s perspective) of the seven-story building. It took about an hour to get things under control, and around nine families were left homeless for the near future.
