sitar2.jpgOn January 19, 11 a.m., there will be a performance for kids called “Bubble do Beatles: Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” at Symphony Space. You can find the details for it by clicking here. Bubble is a band that earns its keep by doing Beatles tribute shows, and 2008 marks the 40th anniversary of the release of Sgt. Pepper’s (can you believe it?).

Now, relevant to us is that backing up the Bubbles will be Roger Lipson, Forest Hills resident, who began playing the sitar as a kid in the 1960s after hearing it incorporated into the Beatles’ music.
