Samarkand in Rego Park

Here’s a review of Samarkand, an Uzbeki restaurant on Queens Blvd., from the Village Voice. It’s a good review that tells you exactly what to eat, which is often the problem when going to a restaurant whose cuisine is largely unknown to your palate. It also includes some interesting background information on Samarkand the place (not the restaurant).

Hat tip to Shelby2 of Jackson Heights Life for catching this one.

My husband loves this place. He scouts out local regional fare nearly every week. We went recently and had a great meal and good service. It’s very brightly lit and a bright spot on Queens Blvd.
