A Side Comment

images1.jpgThere’s a lot going on now in Forest Hills, between this week’s political train wrecks and a plethora of events relating to upcoming holidays.

In the midst of all that, I just want to take a moment to point out that many school-age kids are coming down with long, drawn out illnesses that involve fever, colds, coughs, headaches, and absences from school. Parents, if your child has had on-again, off-again fever, it might be walking pneumonia, so ask your pediatrician to do the necessary blood test to ascertain if that is what is going on. Our pediatrician knew to look for this with my son and we’ve got it under control now, but only after a week of missed school days, bad nights, and discomfort all around.
