Parking Plus

Last week there were only two days of alternate-side-of-the-street parking because of Shavuot; this week, back to the grind of five.

Something to keep in mind for the next time you get a ticket because you didn’t move your car on the right day or in time to beat the “traffic agents”: the 112th precinct gives out far fewer traffic tickets than what is doled out in most other parts of the city.

It’s kind of shocking how many tickets are given out in the 115th precinct, which includes Jackson Heights. If I had to guess, I’d say it’s the egregious double-parking that is the norm on Northern Blvd. and on other main drags around there. Even so, it can also be tough to park in the more residential parts of the neighborhood.
