The 1950’s spawned a new music craze in America that began with American youth embracing Do-Wop leading into the socially conscious music of the 1960’s, followed by English groups like “The Beatles” coming to America; dubbed “The English Invasion”
Groups like “The Rolling Stones”, “Herman’s Hermits”, “The Dave Clark Five” and “Petula Clark” climbed the music chart; while American bands “The Beach Boys”, “The Mama’s & papa’s” and “The Jimi Hendrix Experience” made their mark in the history of American Music.

Singer/Guitarist Michael Butler and his group Stone Love perform a mosaic of music that spans through the golden years of Rock & Roll history in America and brings back nostalgic memories of the artist who made the music famous.

This program is supported, in part, by the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York State Council on the Arts, the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, and Astoria Federal Savings.
