Join us for the opening reception this Saturday, March 14, 3-6pm

TOPAZ ARTS is pleased to present an installation by visual artist Avy Claire whose works explore nature and the human interaction within nature. For this installation, large-scale drawings on translucent sheets measuring over eight feet high are suspended in the space. Using the physicality of the written word, she transcribes the relentless language of daily news and transforms them to create a forest environment.

TOPAZ ARTS hosts DanceNow’s Raw Festival. This new series has been created to bring new voices into The Festival from the outer boroughs, offering artists an important vehicle where they can gather feedback, develop their platform, see and be seen. Held at several studios throughout NYC at Dance Theater Workshop, New York University’s Tisch School for the Arts and Greenspace and Topaz Arts in Queens, viewing the work of 75 + new artists. The Raw Festival will be free and open to the public to give the artists the opportunity to show their work to their network of supporters.
